DIY Outdoor Firepit
I wanted a place in the yard that I could burn wood in that still looked nice. I’m not the biggest lover of the steel chimineas you can buy at home depot or Lowes. I had a whole bunch of stones left over from my patio so I saved them for a project like this. I decided how big I wanted it based on the patio, cantered, and placed my first stack of patio stones.
I didn’t want to glue every piece until I had figured out the appropriate pattern. Once I found the pattern, I kept stacking the stones and only gluing in the corners to secure the positioning of the square.
Lastly I did have to purchase some cap stones so that I could finish off the top nicely. Once I had secured the tops, I added about 4 inches of gravel to the bottom of the fire pit to make sure that there would be no purcning the patio or base of the fire pit. This was such an easy project and a great centerpiece of the patio!
