About Kate

My name is Kate and I am based out of Ontario, Canada. I have had a passion for design and creativity since childhood, growing up in a DIY-focused household. For decades, I have shared design advice, organizational tips, and renovation guidance with friends, family, and colleagues. I also have experience in floral design as I managed a florist for years.

I have been working on homes for over a decade. My own home was also a training ground for solution organizing, designing, and renovating. Over the years, I have designed and built a variety of spaces, including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, outdoor areas, and more. I have also built much of the furniture, like custom headboards and beds.

I also film and manage a YouTube channel, KDA Designs. The videos range from documenting design and renovation projects to providing step-by-step tutorials to help others learn how to transform and maintain their own homes.

In 2024, I completed the program, Interior Design at The Interior Design Institute to formalize my passion.
