Barbie Cake
Barbie Doll Birthday Cake – I made this cake for a 6 year old’s birthday party. Her mother purchased a ballerina Barbie doll and I used it for the cake. I measured the Barbie doll from her feet to her waist and added an inch. This would be the height of my cake. I then baked three cakes in 8″ and 6″ circular pans and layered them with buttercream icing. I then sculpted the skirt and frosted using various shades of pink and purple. I added a ‘6’ using edible pearls and then continued the pearls around the Barbie’s waist.
