Whitewash your brick Fireplace!
After many years of staring at the red brick around my fireplace, I felt it needed to be freshened up. I decided to white wash it vs replacing the brick. This is a super easy way to update the fireplace. (until I get tired of this look and go with another option down the line) :)
TIP: Make sure you thoroughly clean the brick before painting! ( I used a TSP solution)
