King Sized Wood Headboard
On 2018-12-31 by AdminI purchased some 8′ x 6″ x 2″ boards and pre-stained them
I then purchased 10′ long slats and spaced them out based on the wall studs
I used the stud finder to make sure i lined the slats up as it is a heavy headboard. I only started layering on the boards from the base of the bed up (about 3′ from the floor)
I drilled 4″ screws through the slats into the studs and pushed the base of the bed against the headboard. I then screwed 2 4″ screws into the top of the bed to make sure it was secure against the wall. (also added L brackets to the top to make sure the headboard didnt shift.
