When I moved into my house, the previous owners had left some old school light fixtures for me :)<\/p>\n<p>I decided instead of continuing to look for the perfect fixture, I would use these old fixtures and create something new and fabulous! See below for transformations<\/p>\n<p>BEFORE: Fairly standard gold 6 light fixture. I removed it from the ceiling (after turning the electricity off) and roughed up the metal using a coarse sand paper. Using the green paint tape, I taped off the electrical sockets so that paint would not go inside. I stripped all the leaves and laid them out on newspaper and sprayed them using the matte spray paint.<\/p>\n<p>Once everything had dried, I weaved the now white willow branches into the light fixtures to create somewhat of a nest.
